Michigan Workers Compensation Agency (WCA) releases magistrate disposition statistics for third quarter of 2015.
Statistics published by the WCA show magistrates have given 18 open awards, 18 closed awards, and 28 denials. The time period covers January 1, 2015 until September 30, 2015.
An open award is when a magistrate orders payment of continuing wage loss and medical benefits. A closed award is when a magistrate orders the payment of some benefits for a specific period of time.
