MIOSHA CET Grant Projects

The Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Administration (MIOSHA) awarded 21 CET Grants in 2016 totaling $867,000 to promote worker safety and health.

We are thrilled to see that MIOSHA is again offering grant money for FY 2017. There is a workshop scheduled for May 17, 2016 at 1:00 pm located in the Lake Huron Room, Horatio S. Earle Learning Center, Dimondale, MI 48821. Check out the announcement and RSVP.

MIOSHA CET money saves lives! We previously blogged about how a recipient company bought a horizontal lifeline system (and associated training) and it saved an employee when he fell off a bridge.

We applaud MIOSHA for its good work. Advocating for worker safety should be a priority for everyone in the state. We hope employers take notice and make a small investment in their most important resource. Check out the list of 2016 grantees for ideas and free training opportunities.

Our experience shows that workplace accidents are going to happen but many can be avoided with better training and safety equipment.
