Workers’ Compensation Agency (WCA) releases magistrate disposition statistics covering first half of 2016.
Statistics provided by the WCA show magistrates gave just 4 open awards, 5 closed periods, and 12 denials during the first half of the year. The time period covers January 1, 2016 until June 30, 2016.
An open award is when a magistrate orders payment of continuing lost wages and medical. A closed period is when a magistrate orders payment for a specific time period. A denial results in no payment of benefits.
