Workers’ Compensation Agency (WCA) releases updated magistrate disposition statistics covering period 01/01/16 through 08/31/16.
Statistics provided by the WCA show magistrates have given 12 open awards, 7 closed periods, and 19 denials so far this year. The time period covers 01/01/16 until 08/31/16.
An open award is when a magistrate orders payment of continuing wage loss and medical benefits. A closed period is when a magistrate orders payment for a specific time period only. A denial results in no payment of workers’ compensation benefits.
