The Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Administration (MIOSHA) has announced a new program to increase its presence on blight removal projects. Additional funding was provided by the U.S. Department of the Treasury for blight removal predominantly in the Cities of Detroit and Flint. Focus will be on protecting workers from asbestos, lead, cadmium, silica, heavy metals, and other potential hazards. Read the full press release on michigan.gov.
