MIOSHA awareness campaign will focus on reducing worker deaths due to slips and trips in 2019.
Michigan Occupational Safety & Health Administration (MIOSHA) continues its awareness campaign Stop Falls. Save Lives. with a focus on reducing worker deaths due to slips and trips in 2019. Each year, the awareness campaign targets specific industries or areas where worker fatalities due to falls have increased.
Statistics published by MIOSHA show 6 people died from falls in the workplace during 2018. Many of these tragic accidents could have been prevented. We applaud MIOSHA for taking proactive steps to improve workplace safety.
A slip or trip might seem like a joke at first but could turn into a life changing event. Winter months are especially dangerous because of ice and snow. We have seen everything from a bruised knee to paralysis. Workers’ compensation is responsible for payment of all medical and lost wages. Our hope is that nobody gets hurt in the first place.
Michigan Workers Comp Lawyers never charges a fee to evaluate a potential case. Our law firm has represented injured and disabled workers exclusively for more than 35 years. Call (844) 201-9497 for a free consultation today.
